Sunanda attended the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor from 2002-2006. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Brain, Behavior and Cognitive Science. In 2008 she attended the Summer Institute Program at Boston University Graduate School of Public Health. There she received certificates in International and Community Health. In 2011 she completed a semester of evening courses in business management at Harvard University Extension School.
